The author María Kodama, widow of Jorge Luis Borges, has died this Sunday on the age of 86, in line with the Argentine newspaper ‘Infobae’.
The creator of ‘La divisa punzó’ has died in Vicente López (Buenos Aires), because of well being issues that had made her mobility troublesome in current months.
Kodama was born in Buenos Aires in 1937, the daughter of María Antonia Schweizer, of Swiss-German, English and Spanish descent, and the Japanese chemist Yosaburo Kodama.
He graduated in Literature and in a course he met Borges in 1974, with whom he started to narrate because of their shared curiosity in Anglo-Saxon languages. In 1986 they obtained married, shortly earlier than the loss of life of the author. Since then, she has labored to protect and disseminate the Argentine’s literary legacy.
