A Kozhikode-bound Air India Categorical flight from Abu Dhabi landed again on the airport as flames had been detected in one of many engines quickly after take-off, the Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation stated on Friday.
Air India Categorical stated that the plane landed safely and all passengers are protected.
In keeping with DGCA, 184 passengers had been onboard when the flight took off.
“Quickly after taking off and climbing to 1,000 toes, the pilot detected a flame in one of many engines and determined to return to Abu Dhabi airport,” Air India Categorical advised ANI.
DGCA stated that Air India Categorical B737-800 plane returned to the Abu Dhabi airport as a consequence of a mid-air flameout.

On January 23, an Air India Categorical flight from Trivandrum to Muscat landed again 45 minutes after taking off as a consequence of a technical glitch, officers stated.
“The flight took off from Trivandrum at 8.30 am and landed again at 9.17 am,” they added.
In December 2022, a snake was discovered on a Dubai-bound Air India Categorical flight.
