A Bailey bridge, connecting two strategic areas in Kurung Kumey district of Arunachal Pradesh, was washed away in a flash flood, an official of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) mentioned on Sunday.

The bridge over Oyong river close to Kororu village linked Koloring, the district headquarters, with Damin — a significant hyperlink on the India-China border, he mentioned.

BRO’s Mission Arunank Chief Engineer Brig Anirudh S Kanwar mentioned the bridge on the Koloriang-Huri highway, a couple of km from Lee, was washed away by the flash flood on Saturday.

The affect was so huge that solely a panel of the bridge might be seen 100 metres downstream, he mentioned.
